Food has always been at the center of my life. My earliest memories are of helping my mother and grandmother in the kitchen, gathering with family around meals that brought generations together. Those gatherings taught me that cooking is about much more than feeding people. It is about creating memories, celebrating relationships, and making everyone feel welcome.
My father, a 9th Degree Grandmaster of Taekwondo and a pioneer in the Korean community of Orange County, California, opened the area's first Korean market and restaurant. While many knew him as a martial arts master, I knew him as a passionate cook, teacher, and guide. The aromas of garlic, sesame oil, simmering broths, and Korean spices filled our home and became part of who I am. He also taught me discipline, presence, and the importance of living with intention through countless hours spent meditating together.
My mother was equally influential, a pillar of strength who showed me every day what it means to work hard, persevere, and always strive to be your best. I carry immense gratitude for both of my parents. Their balance of guidance and freedom allowed me to become the person I am today.
Living in New York for more than fifteen years exposed me to some of the world's most inspiring culinary experiences, and later, in the Hamptons, I found the freedom to develop flavors and recipes that reflected both my heritage and my own journey. But my path was never solely about cooking.
Through my own struggles and growth, I came to understand that wellness extends far beyond what is on our plates. This understanding led me to become a certified health coach.
I believe that healing and transformation look different for everyone. For some, it begins with nourishing food. For others, it may be found through meditation, meaningful conversation, breathwork, journaling, hiking, creative expression through ceramics, movement, or simply making space to reconnect with themselves. There is no single path to wellness.
My role is not to tell you what your journey should look like. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore the practices, experiences, and habits that allow you to become the healthiest, strongest, and most authentic version of yourself.
Today, my work is the culmination of everything that has shaped me: family, heritage, hospitality, wellness, resilience, and a deep belief in the power of human connection. Whether through a shared meal, a cooking class, a wellness conversation, or a moment of reflection, my mission is to create spaces where people feel nourished, supported, and inspired.
